the following is, in no particular order, all of the ridiculous moments that have happened in my life in the last week. i'm sure that i'm missing a few but my brain is fried thanks to midterms.
*they are putting up christmas decorations downtown today. walking to campus and there's people putting up christmas lights.
*and while they are putting up said decorations, the high temperature for today in denver, CO....drumroll.........80 flippin degrees! no shit.
*i had to swing by the bursar's office this morning to pay my bill. this is normal, except for the fact that my bill was a whopping 18 cents. my mom = dumb when it comes to writing checks. 13 does not = 31. who knew?
*on monday night, i was walking to the bus station when i got stopped by a man who was interviewing people for a news station about the bird flu. apparantly i was on the 10 o'clock news and had no flippin clue because he didn't tell me he was from channel whatever and that i would be on the news. i was my ever charming, inarticulate self and sounded like a moron, i'm sure. my dad said i was cute, but he's my dad....so i don't believe him.
*yesterday at work i decided that i needed to get myself a grown up email address. yeah....never thought i'd say it either.
*i also have a crazy obsession with knitting at the moment. i'm going to try and make myself a sweater soon...though it sounds like i won't need it for a while since its 80 degrees outside. however, the reason(s) that i won't be making this sweater anytime soon are as follows:
**theories of personality with the professor that gives tests that have the students leaving the test with the 'what the f*** was that?!?!?' look on their faces and discussing what certain terms were on the test because you for damn sure that it was covered in lecture or the book....yeah. it was special.
**yesterday in my history of psych class, my professor announces that she's going to announce what our next reaction paper is on thursday. this is fine, i expect these things. the reason that i'm not ok with this follows:
***i have a rough draft for my ethics paper due on thursday. 5-7 pages. i still have no topic and i've been to talk to my professor and haven't missed a class. i think i'm just unoriginal. if anyone has a thought for this paper, let me know.
