You've obviously never bought really cheap highlighters then! xP ...Because i wasn't using artistic license or anything like that... ^.~

hahaha well to be honest I've never been much of a highlighter person. Hate to mark things in my books and stuff. really =___='' don't like it like that, though I'll underline notes and stuff in different coloured pens.

Aah, i see. Yeah, that's where being at uni sucks - we're always having to highlight stuff for reference >.> And i can't underline stuff - i'm incapable of drawing a straight-ish line & i'm too lazy to ever go looking for a ruler ^^;;

I only ever use the dull-ish colours like green and blue; the flourescent pinks and yellows really hurt my eyes! I can easily see how they could do damage ^^;;

lolz i'm studying business in uni (my second year just ended, save the final exams) and hehe i can't draw straight lines either...BUT my laptop can!! and while microsoft word DOES have highlighter functions i tend to just use the bold/italics/underline. hahaha.

someone stole my ruler *sniffles* and it was a good one where the numbers and cm/mm markers weren't rubbed out!! *is sad* but i actually sometimes envy people that use highlighters; sometimes it's really attractive and i'm the sort of person who's attention is fairly easily attracted (look! shiny things!)

as for highlighting stuff for reference.....i guess i'd do that too....if only i ever did any of my readings. (look, a cool-looking fic! *is distracted from textbook*)

Weird...i'm doing business too, and just finished my 2nd year. Aaah, laptops are brilliant for noting stuff. I usually highlight stuff in a different colour font, like red - too much stuff like italics etc confuses me >.>

Yeah, i think that's what happened to my ruler. Would explain why i'm having so much trouble finding it lately... Mine was a good one too.

If used well, highlighting can be pretty. Mine never is though, and usually makes it harder for me to find stuff in the text >.<

Oh don't worry, i only ever highlight stuff when i've got an assignment due & i need to start actually referencing >.>; Fics always win over assignments.

you got it!!! i'm facing two exams on monday and another on tuesday and i stilllll haven't been studying. in fact i can tell u more about the fic and book i'm reading than i can about....accounting. to some extent anyway. *sigh* @_@ i could never highlight like that. i'd do it too much n that woulda totally defeated the point of highlighting in the first place. haha!
