Inui Sadaharu Biography
Inui was born into a loving family of "janitors" on Cinnabar Island. As a talented genius boy, he was spoiled and adored by all the inhabitants of the lively little island and given the nickname "hakase." Inspired by the island's volcano, Inui garnered a deep interest for Fire type Pokemon. By age 20 he had already defeated all 16 gyms and returned home as the Cinnabar Gym Leader, a position which also allowed him to pursue his scientific interests on the side. Free to study, experiment and train his fire Pokemon to his heart's content, all was happy in his life until the explosion of Pokemon Mansion.
Although he himself was lucky enough to be conducting research in Saffron City with another young scientist at the time of the disaster, Pokemon Mansion happened to be the workplace of his parents. Concerned and fearful for his family, Inui rushed back to his hometown regardless of the apparent dangers. As a result, he suffered major burns all over his body, particularly to his face, which he now keeps wrapped in bandages. Despite his efforts, his parents were never found. Driven mad by desperation, fear and cynicism, Inui spent the next [5] years in isolation trying to discover the truth behind the explosion. Along with unearthing some key evidence, Inui also learnt that his parents had not been janitors as they had him believe for so many years, but actually researchers employed by Team Rocket! (Though he represses this knowledge in the deepest corners of his mind)
Somehow, the evil organization caught wind of his notions and, not wanting to take any chances, sent agents to pursue him. Sensing the imminent danger, Inui fled his beloved Cinnabar Island, going so far as to disguise himself and leave his precious Fire Pokemon in the PC. He took only his Flareon and is now in hiding with a new team of Rock Pokemon.
Although dysfunctional without a gym leader, the Cinnabar Island Gym is still intact and open to challengers who manage to find and retrieve Inui. Strangely, he still updates his blog with hints to his whereabouts; whether he does this to inspire trainers or to confuse Team Rocket, his motives are still unknown.

"Bottoms up, mother," Inui chuckled as he raised his glass to the Muk and gulped the liquid down. In response, Muk slowly lapped up the mysterious purple fluid as well.
"How's the recipe this time? It was inspired by the one you used to make me, remember?" Hearing this, Muk sadly turned to Flareon, who was gently tugging on Inui's lab coat and shaking its head.
"I know.. I know.." Inui groaned. "But soon, very soon, we will have our revenge!" Abruptly changing moods, he swiftly rose and walked to his work bench, knocking Flareon back in surprise. It was just another day in Inui's secret lab.
