One thing community college has taught me, or reinforced rather, is to not get to attached to people. Last semester I had no friends besides Kendall. This semester I saw my friend Mike who I had a class with last sem and became a part of his posse, but it's an uncomforting feeling when you suddenly realize you have to start asking these people that have quickly become close friends- will you be here next year- and for the ones that aren't going to be here, I predict I will probably lose touch with very quickly.
I already know Big Mike won't be around. And I know Black Mike and Adam are trying to transfer.
I don't know if it's like this everywhere, but I seem to lose friends as quickly as I make them at MC.
