hmmm...
so, the maltese healthcare system? good, but fucking confusing. maybe it's just because englsih is their second language, and thus, they sometimes get little phrases confused...such as we'll give you a call vs. go have a seat in the waiting room and we'll call you. oh well. with any luck my cast comes off in the next two weeks. then i can actually start exploring this place i've been living.
i'm a little sick of the residence at the moment.
in better news, there was a halloween party thursday night that i was able to go to. i was (what else?) a pirate. i was thinking about going as something else this year, but i had the built-in peg leg, and i just couldn't resist. oh well, new costume next year. i semi-danced while the club played music from th 80s and 90s. (i don't think they've quite gotten to this millenia with music...)
friday night we were having a party in one of the townhouses at the residence. it was about 3 in the morning. they have this thing about noise here, since we're right next to lots of residential housing. so they come and ask us to shut up and turn off the music. we do, wait 15 minutes, then turn the music back on and start yelling again. about half an hour later, the security guard comes knocking on the door again. something about taking names. so, ten of us squeeze into one of the tremendously tiny bathrooms and hang out in there for another 30 minutes while he lectures the people silly enough to stay outside. fun stuff. reminds me of hiding from RAs freshman year.
i'm also upset, because my yahoo account won't let me send emails, and i don't know why. i typed up this nice message to send to everyone on my update list, and then it won't send. hopefully i'll eventually figure out what's wrong with it.
well, i guess that's about it. time to head for the stairs.
