(no subject)
well, i just had my first test here at spring hill. it was lots of fun. actually, it wasn't that bad, except that like 5 of the questions were apparently based on things that had been discussed in class the week before katrina, so i was clueless. luckily, they were multiple choice, which means that i have a 25% chance of having blindly guessed correctly.
aside from my awesome classes, we've been attempting to build a golf course across the campus. we're using some of those big bouncy balls you can buy in the bins at walmart, and we kick them instead of putting. it's much less expensive that way. we have, however, been encountering the problem of finding ready-made holes on campus. and somehow we don't think they'd appreciate us making our own.
they have this weird thing about wanting their campus to look nice.
i'm getting a tv from my uncle tomorrow. yay for relatives who own electronics stores! and stevedore came across a refrigerator and microwave that we can all use, so i guess we're pretty set for the semester. also, i made a couch out of an underbed storage unit that i stole from one of the empty rooms down the hall and floor cushions. it's a bit awkward looking, but comfortable.
oh, and last night we found out that you can push a button in the unoccupied room next to mine and it makes a very loud buzzing sound above my sink. i'm not too thrilled about that. i'm rather fearful of early morning wake up calls.
i miss loyola. but spring hill's not too bad, i guess. i think i'm just having some trouble adjusting to the situation. i'm sure it'll get better.
