Hey everyone! Yeah, I live. Pretty surprising huh? I just haven't had much time to get on the internet, much less to update my dear journal, but I'm working it out.
I finally have my spring break: two weeks! I go back April 19th, and that sounds delicious to me. Like a big piece of Neiman Marcus cake.
So, what's going on in my world so far? Eh, not much. Nothing that will make your eyebrows arch, or your mouth gape open. Just good old mexican stuff. I actually just have some thoughts and venting to do.
Good things about not doing anything on a weekend:
- The Cure video marathon
- AFI videos, even if they're starting to kill Silver and Cold
- Watching my AFI concert tape
- Reread American Pyscho
- Awesome movie marathon
- Not wake up at 5 AM. Much sleep
So the movies I got to see were awesome. Just plain AWESOME. First, I nearly pissed myself when I turned on the TV and saw a lanky man with red boots walking out of jail. Yes, my friends, that would be Vincent Gallo in Buffalo '66. I fell in love with Vincent. Loved that actor ever since. I don't post my favorite movies in my interests, just amusing ones. I keep my favorites to myself, but you lucky people know one of them now. I need to buy that movie.
Another awesome movie I happened to watch was with two other actors I love, Sam Rockwell and John Turturro. I've never seen the movie before, so I don't know its title in english, but if it's anything close to its spanish title, it's something with the word 'moonlight'. It seems like it was more of a Rockwell marathon, cause I saw another one in which he played a small role in, it was a fun movie, nonetheless.
Then I saw this fun crazy one about a gay Greek boy. And boy, this actor is HAWT. I mean it. I saw the credits but I forgot his name by now. Wow, that was a beautiful man. I'll try to get over it.
So..now some music thoughts. I actually thought I was guiding my friend in the right musical direction, and I was starting to believe that there was now someone I could share my AFI love with, but, I was kind of disappointed. During my SA stay, which was a while back, she kept saying "Silver and Gold" As opposed to 'cold'. I know it's easy to say gold, since they're both related,but....still. It's not hard to read the right name. I didn't correct her though, I was feeling a little guilty that I tried to push her to like AFI. I think she does though, so that's good.
Another disappointment happened a couple days ago. With the death anniversary of Kurt Cobain, there's been a lot of TV stuff, magazine articles and the like, and a friend asked me if she could borrow my Nevermind CD. I was really pleased, and I was even going to let her borrow In Utero as well, since she seemed to be really interested. Then I ask her why her sudden interest, and she said, "Well, cause Kurt was really hot." I felt...hmmm..yeah, disappointed. I guess I should feel semi-happy that she might actually like the music? Nah, she won't. Oh well.
Well, that's about all the ramblings I've got for today. I hope you guys are all doing great, and it'll be another while til you hear from me. I'm doing a two week trip to visit my dad. We shall see how that goes. Take care everyone!!
Remember Cobain - 10 years.
