Radiohead

I've listened to radiohead so much over the last couple of years that it ruined it for me. That and everyone at the con loves them, and all think they're so much cooler for it.
I'm only listening to them again now and remembering how much i fucking love them.

Kid A has the best first track of any of their albums. It's amazing! In close second is 2+2=5... or is that first, i really dont know.
Then you have pablo honey with creep which is always good, or ok computer with airbag (probably the weakest of the first track mix).
The bends, although not the strongest album of the lot starts with planet telex which is pretty fucken amazing. That could be no.1 actually.
Amnesiac with 'last flowers'. I find amnesiac to be quite hit and miss really.
Latest album in rainbows with 15 step. this could definitely be no.1 (I didn't like in rainbows when I first listened to it, but now I'm in love).

How the fuck do i choose a favorite top first track?!?!?! For me it has to be between; everything in its right place, planet telex and 2+2=5.

What's the strongest album?
The general public vote Kid A i think. It's a safe bet, midway between rock and experimental.
On Itunes Ok Computer is my most listened to album, it's probably the second most mainstream of all their albums too. I don't think its the best though. Pablo honey isn't their best either, but it does have blow out, fucken AMAZING song.
Amnesiac hasn't got a chance, it's definitely my least favorite. It doesn't feel like it really belongs either. The bends dies heaps early, but comes back with street spirit.
Hail to the thief as an album. Amazing. enough said.
In rainbows as an album. Amazing again.
It's out of these two for me. At the moment its In Rainbows (and thats not because its newest) but gun to my head i would probably say hail to the thief.

I seriously can't peg another band up at the same calibre as Radiohead. Flicking through my playlist i can HONESTLY say i can't see another artist i feel comfortable ranking them up with radiohead.

You know I'm heaps against my music because whenever i write anything i can always hear a little bit of radiohead in it. I think heaps of the time it's my imagination because others usually say they can't hear it much. If my music does sound a little like them though, how awesome is that! why the fuck have i been so against it?

What spurred this blog you may ask?
I downloaded the latest bloc party album and decided it sounds like a heaps HEAPS weak radiohead/less high paced version of their earlier stuff. Pretty average if you ask me.

Comment people, i want to hear your opinions!
