Electro-Acoustic
Ok, so I've decided to write an electro-acoustic piece for my major work for 5.1 sound and two marimbas.
I need ideas for what i can record to put into the electro-acoustic side of the piece!
The theme is 'positive and negative energy'. You can interpret this anyway you like; I'm thinking more science with protons/electrons/neutrons but you can think of lesbian ways to interpret it i.e positive/negative auras and shit.
So i can record basically anything, the last electro-acoustic piece i wrote i used; a lighter, spray can, sword and its sheath and cello. I can seriously record anything!
In terms of the mixing, i can make sounds spin across the room and distort them, convolute them and modulate them (mix em up and fuck with em). I can also have them react to the score of the marimbas.
SO anyone who reads this, I'm expecting a reply to this post with at least one idea. I know who WILL read this thing so comment or die a horrible horrible death.
