OK, I want to spark a discussion... what do we all think about the new Pope?
i'm interested to hear what you all think. some may care, and others may not. what are your thoughts on the matter...
...those of you that are anti-religion, please be respectful towards it in this discussion, even though you might have no regard for it otherwise.
Personally, I dont like him. I think that they needed someone younger (lets face it, he only has a few good years left in him, tops), and i think they needed someone who was more open to change. Dont get me wrong, i think that they should keep their traditions, but they need to look at certain rules, like priests being allowed to have relationships etc. (there's a reason for the lack of people wanting to be priests out there... and it's pretty obvious.)and there's other stuff as well that needs to be addressed.
Also, there was something about John Paul 2 that was friendlier and more inviting than "Eggs". ("eggs" is my nickname for him - can you guess why?) He also looks kinda evil - like bilbo baggins when he wants the ring... with arab coloured skin.
