I saw that. . .

Jul 23, 2005 21:36

I just got back from a day out with Angela and Stephanie and our niece Danielle.  We went to see out nephew DJ's baseball game and then kidnapped Danielle and took her shopping.  His game was supposed to have a game at Marian, but it was moved to HoChunk sports complex in Lynnwood.  He hit a home run and was MVP of the game; unfortunately, they still lost.  Now I'm tired since I had to drive all day and I feel gross from sitting outside to watch the game.

I haven't updated in a while, namely because nothing exciting ever happens.  Here's a summary.

I got my wisdom teeth out.  It wasn't that bad.  I had cake the next day.  I would have had it the first day, but it wasn't on the pre-approved list of foods.  The stitches all fell out and my eating habits are basically back to normal.  It takes a little longer because it's still a little sore, but it hasn't stopped me yet.

My former babysitter visited from Minnesota.  Her grandma, my neighbor Baci, was sick with cancer and died last week.  The funeral was last Saturday. (I couldn't go because of my teeth.)  Later that night she came over and we all drank (well, not me).  I'm sure she never thought that she'd be drinking with the kids she used to babysit.  We were really loud and giggling the whole time.  Nikki and I walked her back across the street at 2:30 sing Polish drinking songs.  We also had birthday parties for two of her kids, Sophie and Nathaniel.  Apparently, Sophie is me when I was four.  She talks incessantly and lives in her own world.

Nikki and I went shopping yesterday, and we were out of control!  I can never go shopping with her again.  She encourages you to buy everything.  We had to leave the mall before we spent all our money for books, and we had barely hit half of the stores.  Never again.  At least not till we go to Michigan City.

I'm reading A Million Little Pieces by James Frey right now.  It's weird how I can relate to a lot of his emotional concerns.  I think it's probably for the best that I avoid all drug use because I'd be the perfect candidate for addiction.  It's a really good book.

I'm really bored, so this is from Cait.
