They got rid of Oldies! I leave for two weeks and the world falls apart!
Okay, so the text box is conveniently missing and it makes me a little nervous. Anyway, here it goes.
I left obligated to update since it's been a while to say the least. I was hesitant at first because I haven't seen and/or spoken to most of you in eons, and I would much rather see you all in person or at least hear your actual voice on the phone rather than write about my mundane life here to no one specific without knowing if anyone is reading or even cares. Does anyone else feel that way? (That was a REALLY long sentence and completely grammatically incorrect.)
I got back from California on Wednesday. The highlights of the trip: our two encounters with the cops, driving through dubious neighborhoods right off the freeway late at night, meeting pretty much everyone who works at the Westlake Blockbuster in the course of nine days, sharing amusing phrases from our romance novels on the beach, eating A LOT of Mexican food, stalking Jesus (and failing), the numerous trips to Coffee Bean and laughing at their unique spellings of our names. The only "celebrities" we saw were George Lopez and the lead girl from Meet Joe Black. And of course Bob Barker. You can see a blur of me in the audience and Bridget jumping up and down excitedly.
Now I've returned to reality and I am quite dismayed by the changes made while I was gone. Magic 104.3 is now the Jack! My sister slept nude in my bed. The Wolves lost the Calder Cup finals. (Poor Kari!) And yesterday when I checked my email for the first time in two weeks, I found a letter from Señora. There was the usual stuff and then at the end, like some afterthought, she wrote <> What?! I would like an explanation!
'Tis all for now. Please call, write, whatever. I miss you all. (I'm making a sad face right now, but unfortunately no one can see it.)
