QuizFarm.com My last "real" LJ post was from back in August, but that isn't stopping me! When driven by intense boredom you're prone to do anything that will eat up a few hours here and there...
Yes, I am alive. Just thought I'd let you know. Whoever you are. Crazy, psycho, reading... person.
Life's been about as it's always been. Christmas was cool, but New Years lacked a certain "New Year-ish" feel. It was just another day to go through for me. I've noticed that about the holidays as they come around for the 19th time in my life; the holidays are losing that cheery sheen they once had in my childhood.
This semester will be interesting, first and foremost-ly because I'm taking this semester off. The three semesters I suffered through really showed how much I hate school, as childish as it sounds, and I guess I'm hoping a longer summer break will give me some time to poke around and see my options. Well, I've got from now until the fall semester to think of something (barring summer classes) I suppose. It still feels wierd, though, not being forced into a daily routine of go to classes, suffer through classes, come back from classes, do work for classes, etc.
As a result, I have a lot more free time than I conciously know what to do with, most of it coinciding with the hours between midnight and 7am. Chiasm keeps me company sometimes, plopping down on my stomach or newest reading material to garner attention. Or, like he is now, he sleeps on my bed. I'm starting to read through the old Calvin and Hobbes comics, which always make me smile. I'm living off of Cherry Limeade Sunkist (a new flavor you seriously need to buy), Dr. Pepper, and sandwiches, although my lack of physical exertion leaves me with a small appetite.
Heh, it's kinda wierd coming back and writing an actual LJ post. That, mixed in with the new LJ layout and toys, leaves me feeling a little alienated. But I don't intend to make this a true obsession like the rest of you loonies, so I think I can manage.
I guess I should note that I'm single again, although I'm not currently looking for anyone. While I have the time, I don't have the will or the pocketbook to thrust myself back onto the dating scene.
I've got a D&D website where I'm keeping the greater bits of my creative spurts, thanks to the free hosting and long hours to myself. Check it out
here if you wanna. Some of them have stories attached, and I try to keep the whole site light-hearted.
Speaking of which, my computer's video card is fried. This is not the reason I haven't been posting, but it certianly prohibits my computer usage. I'll get around to fixing it one of these days, when the need to use it becomes more readily apparent. I don't have any game or website that holds my obsession, so fixing the computer is low on my list of priorities. When I do fix it, however, I'll have to remember to hook up the printer... Mmm, note to self.
Gee, I thought I was a lot more philosophical and poetic than my writing lets on... oh well, I guess that's all the writing you'll get out of me tonight. Just boring life-tales out of me tonight and nothing else. Good night, good morning, farewell.
