Baby Contest...I must be nuts.
Okay, I'd like to preface this by saying we don't normally do this kind of thing.
This morning, I took Rachel over to participate in Miami's Most Photogenic Baby of 2007 contest. The proceeds are going to benefit the Children's Miracle Network forthe Miami Children's Hospital Foundation.
There are 2 ways to win this competition apparently. A panel of judges will pick a photo and also there is a "voter's choice" category where people (friends and family) can vote for your child. If it wasn't for a good cause like the Children's Miracle Network, I would never ask this--- but--- if you are interested in voting/donating for Rachel, here is a paypal button where you can vote for Rachel's picture to win. It is only .50 cents to enter a vote as a donation. (There doesn't seem to be a limit on donations. As an example: 10 votes = $5.) You are in no way obligated to vote for Rachel. I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone was interested in doing this. Thank you in advance if you do decide to donate.
If you don't feel comfortable with paypal, shoot me an email and I'll give you our mailing address. It's aimeet_1 at hotmail dot com.
The awards ceremony is Feb. 25 so I will bring any donations with me at that time, along with a form.
I thought this contest would be fun for two reasons. They give you an 8x10 just for participating ($35 entry fee) and also it would be a good opportunity to donate to a good cause!

There were so many kids there today at the mall. It was a madhouse. Rachel started to get really antsy in her stroller. I finally let her out and she proceeded to run all over the place. I couldn't really keep up with her. Ugh! She did a couple of tantrums too when I tried bringing her back to me and the stroller. As far as the actual picture is concerned, she did pretty good. She had calmed down enough to take a couple of nice shots. Unfortunately, they don't have a copy of the picture until we go in again next month... I'd love to show you guys!
