A Place Beyond The Pines...
So Friday night, despite the bad weather, I went to the movies. I'd been wanting to see this since last September at TIFF.
I like Ryan Gosling, I think he's a fine actor. Conveys a lot of feeling and emotion without much dialogue. So I was really jazzed about seeing this movie finally.
Did I like it? Yes, I did actually. Was it what I expected? Absolutely not.
Would I see it again? Not sure. Why? I think it's the way the story is told.
Without spoiling for anyone else, I will say that the way the Director chose to relate his story seems odd. It was like watching two different movies. And that's all I'm going to say about it.
