Treadmill
My treadmill and I have been very close this past week. I've been on it three times this week already.. The best part is that I walk for two minutes at a brisk pace and then run for two minutes. It makes the time go faster! I lost two pounds and then I stepped on the scale yesterday to see that I gained it right back. SIGH.. I'm just hoping that some of this body fat will come off now that summer is around the corner.. Being able to be outside.. and with Jimmy coming soon, I'll be chasing around a soon-to-be 6 year old.. That will help, I'm sure..
I've been working out in my gardens too. Yesterday, I was out in my peony garden for 2 1/2 hours and only weeded one corner. That corner looks great, but then I have to look down the loonnnnnggg rest of the garden and realize I've got hours in that bed to make it look pretty again. The problem lies in that when Gram got sick, Mom and I just tried to maintain the yard to make it look like someone was living here.. We didn't do much in the way of the garden. Mom and I played hell last summer trying to weed and me finishing my Master's degree.. Morning Glory and tall tall thistles were all over the place.. OMG.. I hate that stuff!
My neighbors kindly moved their umpteen million bird feeders from the edge of my garden. This will help my gardening woes because the birds and squirrels won't be knocking all the extra seed into my garden, which then turns into wild sunflowers and the like...There was a BEAUTIFUL blue jay out there this morning.. Now I'm watching two squirrels chase each other.... They are too cute, although they get peanuts from the neighbors one feeder and come eat them in my yard leaving the shells behind!
Well, I've got to get going. It's 8:45 and we've got to get going to Youngstown by 10.. Mom and I are going with my future MIL to shop for their dresses.. I'm going to try on MY wedding dress today too! It's been in and I'm finally going to have THE DRESS on! I can't forget to take my shoes and all with me! OOHH.. AND the invitations came yesterday too. That's the quickest friggin company ever, I think. We sent in the order last Saturday by SNAIL MAIL.. Can you believe that? They're beautiful. Thanks to Mandilyn who helped me figure out what font I wanted.. After all the deliberation, I ordered the one I wanted (LOL) and they look beautiful!
