berkeley.
so i don't know when it happened or how it happened, but it happened. berkeley has become my home. i don't think i even realized it until the plane was landing and i was all antsy and giddy like a two year old or someone on drugs. it was ridiculous. then the people on the intercom did the whole welcome to san francisco thing and after the lady said that she said "and if sanfrancisco is your home, welcome home" *insert warm fuzzy feeling here*. no joke. just being here makes me feel better, not that home has been bad. i've been seeing lots of people and making money and playing with cats and dogs for up to 5hrs a day (and they call it community service =)). so i got in, took BART aka the subway-esque thing to berkeley and then attempted to catch a bus, but just ended up walking about two miles to my apt. and i didn't care. it was gross and hot and i didn't care cause i was here and everything here seems to make me happy. i love houston, but berkeley just makes me so happy. you don't have to drive everywhere here. you can walk places and do things outside. this place just makes me feel alive. i feel like i never left, even though i've been home for almost a month. i can't wait to get my apt here set up and have a real place to crash at and call home. its going to be amazing. i wish i could bring all my houston buddies here and just chill with them all summer and explore berkeley and sf. speaking of, i'm going to pride here this weekend and if anyone has any requests/wants me to get them anything, just let me know. i'm sure i'll come back with stories of drama so you don't have to request that. just the mix of people who are going + alcohol = drama filled weekend. thankfully i don't forsee any of it centering around or even involving me which is a nice change. i think i've had enough of that to last me for a while. anyways. i'm gonna go walk around some more and go chill i guess. i applaud you if you actually read all of this. it was more a feeling that i just had to document than anything else. =)
