Humility

 HUMBLE?

There is no humility in those who step up only when they think they will be recognized rather than just doing- when no one sees, knows, or even considers what is or has to be done.

When a presenter comes in what has to be done? Scrub toilets; Clean floors; Dust; Wash sheets and comforter; Mop; Moving furniture around; and maintain in general (ie: Washers and dryers, stove, Air conditioning, etc. Which involves lots of costs and labor!!!)  Preparation of food, etc. . This is before...And after. That's a lot of work. Many help with that. It's a highly visible time. This time is attended by those who identify leather and the rest of us who identify in too many other ways to list. Those who identify leather as well as the rest  help more in these times.

And now consider the other 364  days in the year that you don't even consider what it takes to maintain this facility for presenters, visitors and Us. Consider The beyond that the few do day in and day out without the need for your type of recognition. Don't bitch slap those who do provide this. So yes, a lot do shrug at a group who thinks they only need support those other few times. Is this not something you might have ever considered? If not, try for a moment to do so. I'm not making this up, nor is it only My observation, I'm just the one expressing it. You can be right, or you can take some time to think there are others and vast other opinions out here.

(If anyone has ever purchased a home they can empathize with the costs and labor to maintain. Our facility makes at least 2 or 3 regular size homes in size. None of this happens by magic. Monies and commitment maintain. A state of being or mind is awesome. It won't pay the bills and maintain a group or building. Commitment does.)

But ok, this is just the stuff part. It's things rather than a state of being (The point here is, though, these commitments/ involvements reflect on the state of mind and nature of people as well. And this whole thing is revolving around character of being...Which also heavily involves commitments-both interpersonal and community related )

But even more profound a "WTF. really. Are you seriously pointing that finger outward? " on my part is...

There is no humility in those that profess, loudly "I AM". There is in those who simply are...

Just be. Just be with pride. Get off the negativity and be an example. You don't always have to run something, be given something, or head up something to Be. Some shine through by example. People flock to shinning examples.

And for those who don't get what I am saying, it's about being and doing through pride and example rather than just for the spot lighted times and lots of words. Be who you are-

Without poking at others.

And all of this is because you can't kick at something and not expect it to kick back.

Especially if the something you are kicking around is my friend and the community I call home.
