Honey, there isn't too much you can do - it wasn't your party. Just let India know, if she is upset, that you are still her friend and that if it had been your party, of course she would have been invited.

What he said. You couldn't do anything about it. Try not to let her talk too much sh*t about the hostess, though -- she's not obliged to invite everybody who lives in her neighborhood, and she did try to make up for it.
