Google my name and you will actually see two things that are truly mine. Surprise, surprise! Those being the very first result - Youth Stories - and the sixth result - My big fat Egyptian Wedding - (as seen in the International Dateline, Washington International School's school newspaper). I was just bored and remembered Atiya had done it to try and find pictures of a friend of hers so I said, "Hey why not?" Lo and behold, something of relevance actually appears. Amazing.
Anyway, I'm very happy that the mocks are over with and my oral which went much worse than I wanted it to. No need to feel sympathy for me though.. Because I got accepted to Lafayette College with a scholarship.. Woohoo!! Also, Mr. Heilman told me yesterday that we only have 10 more classes before the end. It's freaking me out and senioritis is killing me. I want it all to be over with!!!
Wish I had something more interesting to say, but how about a mini rant?
Well, you know one thing that I, and hopefully a number of you that will also kindly comment on, hate? We hate people who are walking with a friend on the sidewalk and believe it is their god given right to occupy the entire space forcing you off into a corner to squeeze by or just making you walk in the dirt or the street. The sidewalk was not made especially for you, stupid people. It was made for public use. I may be African American, but I have rights, thank you very much, and one of those includes not having to boy down to you. Hmph.
Also, another thing that aggravates me is when people feel the need to take advantage of you.. For instance, a neighbor of ours has two small children and works fulltime. The street along the side of the apartment building where they live was/is frequently packed with cars when she comes home so my mother allowed her to park at the edge of our driveway in case there were no parking spots available. Well, as time began to go on, there would be times when the street wasn't full, yet she would park in our driveway still. Now, there are constantly spots on the street and she still feels the need to park half in our driveway. Being kind is one thing, but now she is taking advantage of us and it is costing us a bit. My mom is not always able to pull into her own spot by the garage now and this neighbor had the nerve not to come out and help us once when it had snowed and Mom was trying to leave for work. To top it all off, we could hear her talking to her children above us while we were shoveling.
One last thing I dislike are people that think they are always right....
