I know that a good number of the folks who read my LJ are actually quite smart...But how smart? Can any of you figure out what this game of chess really represents?
An entry written in the style of an Alchemist's notes. Let's see who can figure it out, hm? It's pretty easy, I'd say.
Two people are playing Chess. It's a pretty even match though control leans in favor of one moreso than the other.
The player controlling the Black pieces starts off with a shot for a quick and easy checkmate. White anticipates this and prevents it. Black gets careless and moves in anyway, losing their queen. White and Black play back and forth a bit, Black's strategy plain to the eye of anyone watching, until White gets tired of this. White moves in and takes Black's one Rook with a Bishop. Check.
Black hesitates, then retreats. Two moves later, White sees an opening and goes for it, taking Black's other Rook. Black retaliates, but poorly, only gaining a Knight. The next turn Black loses the Bishop that was used to take White's one Knight. Check, yet again.
Black begins to become a bit flustered, making his strategy even easier to see. Black gets out of Check and White seems to ease up for one turn. Black lucks out for just a moment and takes White's Queen with a Bishop, putting White into Check for the first time. White easily gets out of it.

So, what now? Curious? So am I.
