Once upon a time, I had planned to make an Ace Attorney/Disgaea crossover fangame. With OCs hogging the spotlight of course because I'm a faggot.
I never wrote more than an episode and a half. And it was terrible.
But I do say, during the time I was "developing" it, I became a better spriter than I thought I'd ever be. I surprised the hell out of myself with some of the graphics I made.
And I know some of you already knew that, but a lot of you weren't on my flist the first time I posted these. So, here they are again, with a basic summary of the game's plot!
Court sprites for what I'd come up with so far, complete with a way-too-tall Laharl!
Nila in all her busty glory.
The first two images of Mr. Zaoh to exist. True story.
Mama Etna was the defendant in the first episode.
Accused of killing this man, a teal-wearing detective who looked suspiciously like Juan Corrida.
The case was being investigated by a completely clueless detective who was paid to make up horrible lies.
Hilariously punny name: Enrico Lira. See, Lira was the former currency of Italy, and also an anagram for "liar"!
Payne's reactions were rather... unusual. Being possessed by Tyrant Overlord Baal might have had something to do with it.
Victim of episode 2 was Vulcanus. Who could have possibly killed him?
Witnesses say it was Gumshoe.
His very adorable kid begs to differ.
Prosecutor Kavachi says, "Fuck that kid."
But the murderer was really Midd-Whiteboss! He had to do what he had to do, man.
Case 3 featured the sudden death of Spark Brushel, and all fingers point to Mr. Zaoh. Except Nila's. Hers pointed to...
...Matt Engarde's father, Wendy Oldbag with a moustache! Turns out Brushel had become the next De Killer after Shelly's retirement. And we all know Matt was p0wned by De Killer, so this guy set out to avenge his son by ending the De Killer line before its next successor could be chosen!
Hilariously punny name: Joseph Engarde. See, the murder took place at a coffee shop. Joseph = Joe = coffee!
So, we finally approach the final case.
Maderas has been murdered. Who gives a shit, really?
I guess clearly somebody did, since Laharl's in prison. He claims he didn't kill him. Nobody would blame you if you did, Laharl!
I'd also like to go on the record that I drew his entire head pixel by pixel.
So, we get to the trial, and presiding is...
Oh god. This is going to be the hardest trial ever.
Wait did Kavachi just get electrocuted? Who was that?
EVER.
Also we get Prinny Zak as a witness for some reason.
And a flashback of one of Mr. Zaoh's earlier cases!
And later Gant gets taken out by a Prinny who takes over as judge. Surprise surprise, it's Prinny Baal.
This Prinny sprite was entirely hand-drawn. Eyeballed from an image of the Prinny plushie on the official RosenQueen website, but still hand-drawn.
Lastly, a bonus sprite that has nothing to do with the game at all:
Oh Diablo. You so crazy.
