ah, what a wonderful movie. one of my favorite quotes: "you're defending him! you love him! you want to have like 10,000 of his babies" or something to that effect.
you know how people are always like "this movie changed the way i see the world". well, american beauty is the movie that did that for me. i remember i saw it for the first when all the shit in the world seemed to be hitting the fan and then smacking me in the face. it made me think "what the hell am i getting so caught up in all of this crap for when there is so much else out there for me to focus on, all the good things that i am missing." so yeah, i really like this movie.
