symposium = over
I ROCKED it at the Symposium yesterday. Everyone told me (including the speakers) how professional I was behind the podium, and that it was clear that I was comfortable talking in front of groups and that I really did a great job. My classmates were all looking to me for direction at different points during the event. I wasn't so happy with this part as it wasn't my event, but it was fine. At least they didn't think I was being arrogant and a bitch. They actually thought I did a really good job. And they kept saying we don't know who else to ask and none of us know what's going on and you do and we want to be helpful. And I was thinking, great, how did this turn into my gig for all the prep work and now everybody wants to be in on the main event. Whatever though. It was good that at least people were willing to be helpful. And I got the arrogant asshole off his high horse that thinks he's too good for everybody else, did hardly no work and then tried to take all the credit. And everyone was glad that I said something mean to him, cuz he needed to hear it.
So today was relaxing for the most part. Had class and we didn't really do anything. Everyone is so glad that the symposium is over, Marsh didn't really have anything for me to do, which was nice. Now I'm in the office doing some research and am probably going to head back to my apartment or go for a walk or something.
Marsh is letting me meet with him earlier on Tuesday, so that I can take-off for break Tuesday afternoon. That's exciting. I am going to the city on Wednesday, driving down with a friend from rescue on Weds. morning, spending some time with him on Staten Island, then taking the train into the Bronx to meet Katie. I'll spend the day with her, and then we'll go to the parade on Thursday and then take the train home Thursday afternoon. Friday I am shopping in the morning early, then going to rescue Friday night. Saturday I have a lunch date with mom, and then the day free. Sunday night or Monday morning early I will head back to school. So that'll be nice. I am so excited for the long break from school and that I won't need to worry about getting any assignments done.
