(no subject)
my mom has been traveling a lot, is mostly vegan now, works out/yogas/kayaks/kayakyogas (not kidding) more than ever, always looks super tan and happy and healthy.
since moving out, me and dad smoke more, drink more, spend more, make more stupid jokes, i've gained weight and he's managed to lose even more. we don't talk for weeks and then meet up every day. he's great. i'm actually really glad he moved out the same time that i did.
all very strange. going home tonight! then the crazy diets and crazy workouts begin. my family is so weird.
and i might have an internship at stonybrook this summer doing MS research (cognitive/emotional implications, specifically) in an ACTUAL REAL LAB with a REAL PERSON WITH A DEGREE. i have an interview in a week! too bad my cv is shit and i have no lab experience, but this woman is a hampshire alum so at least she'll understand the format of the school. i really hope she gives me a chance.
