Lj-Idol Topic - Week 0
I've never been good at “about me's”. I see people thinking of interesting & witty things about themselves and can't seem to come up with anything nearly as good. I join a new site and begin to fill it in;

About Me: …and I usually end up leaving this blank. Saying to myself, I'll go back after I think about it a bit, but I never do. Most still sit empty to this day.
I guess I have trouble talking about myself. I don't really find anything about myself particularly interesting. I watch TV. A lot of it. I still love watching regular TV shows though my generation is apparently supposed to be all about cutting off their cable. My DVR is always full of shows like Castle, Elementary, S.H.I.E.L.D, The Blacklist, The Following, and all sorts of other things that I can cram in there.
I love video games. I have a Wii U. I love Nintendo games. There will never be enough Mario Games in the world for me. I also love PC games. My Steam library is full of all kinds of games. In fact as I write this I have an indie game 'Our Darker Purpose' running in the background.
I have a cockatoo for a mate. Her name is Scooter and she's a sulfur crested cockatoo who imprinted on me several years ago. Every spring she anxiously awaits me to lay an egg. I have yet to do so.
I'm a full time stay at home caretaker. I'm hoping to slowly finish college at some point. I'm a math major, I would like to eventually get a doctorate and teach at a college level.
I have no teeth. Sorry, I figure that would be something interesting. It is true though, I had all my teeth removed a year ago because I never got adult teeth. Now I have shiny dentures and can eat without pain.
I suppose those are some decent things to get a little bit of an idea of who I am. I'm looking forward to finding out who all of you are as well through idol.
