Castle: Alexis to Dad Castle (Alexis Spoilers for last part of season)
Dear Dad,
I am having a wonderful time here in South America. Yes Dad I am taking care of myself and using bug spray and sun screen. No one has tried to kidnap me either.
I have seen some wonderful wildlife and insects and flowers. We are really making a difference here. I am so glad you decided to let me come. The living conditions are very primitive makes me appreciate what I have at home with you. I won’t take it for granted or you ever again.
Still, I miss you terribly and will be happy to be home soon.

Grey's Anatomy: Meredith to Derek (No Spoilers/set pre-last season)
Dear Derek,
The convention is as boring as we figured it would be, so I hate you aren't here even more. There has not been a single innovative idea presented yet that we haven’t done at Seattle Grace.
I have been able to stay busy with all the lectures during the day and they have a nice buffet dinner each night. But later I forgo the drinking in the cocktail lounge and instead have been renting a movie and gorging on popcorn in my room.
I miss having you next to me in bed. I’m lonely and will be so happy to return home.

The Big Bang Theory: Penny to Leonard (Set pre-last season finale)
Dear Leonard,
I miss you something awful. I wish you could have gotten off work and come home with me. Everything is so very boring. I even miss Sheldon and his anal need to knock three times on my door with a “Penny” after each three knocks.
They close down everything here after dark. Their ideas of night excitement is sitting in the screened in porch after dark and listening to the crickets and the tree frogs.
I miss having you in my bed each night. I never knew how much until now. I do love you, Leonard and I am going to try to come home a few days early. Would you be able to pick me up on Friday at six from the airport?
