I have got through the first day at Parkdale Elementary, and perhaps more encouragingly, I have got through the second. In my experience, the second day on a job is the most daunting, because it's the one where reality begins to set in, your sense of the new normal.

So far so good.

It's pretty overwhelming starting over from scratch, but I think time will prove this decision a good one. The short commute is marvelous, for one thing.
