Helllooooo everyone!
Just letting everyone I am still alive!! So much have been going on-being a mother, a full-time student, having my own little battles with Mom, trying to get used to new schedule and blah.
I will update everything that happened on Jan 30 til now.
Jan 30-Aunt Kim bought me a boooooooootiful wedding dress! Later that day we discovered that Madeline had her third tooth out.. on the bottom hehe.
Mom was like rude... when we told her we finally set a wedding date ::July 22,2006:: She was more concerned about money than sharing the excitement of getting married. Everyone was all excited about the wedding and blah blah. Mom was still angry about my changing majors from Funeral Service education to Graphic Design. Pffttty whatever. Mom and I are still on the shaky side since I wanted my saving bonds for the wedding and house and she said NO. She wouldn't give it to me until I finish school. How pathetic is that! Mom really wants us to move back to VP. Chris realized that after that quarrel that took place of when we told her about the wedding date-he just lost respect for her right there there are more details to this story. We have decided to move to Denham Springs whenever we feel it's time to start a new chapter in our life. Mom of course threw a fit about that. I explained that there wont be good jobs in Graphic Design in VP because it is so small ass town!! Denham Springs is within minutes of Baton Rouge. Chris cud work at Lexus dealership in BR because they are bigger and more business going on over there and moreee $$$ hehehe! I could go to school at BR Community College or Southeastern Louisiana University at Hammond for EKG as my second major and on the side of my graphic design job.
School is going pretty well for me. I am struggling with Accounting online. *slam forehead* the professor is asjdkjalskdjalksdj. He isn't cooperative and bunch of other online students emailed me with complaints and questions of what to do. I am doing pretty good in other classes. I am really liking Graphic Design. I have a 8 am class in
Computer Graphic on those kick ass imac apples!! That really motivates me to get out of bed and gooooo to school and play on that computers! Also the professor is so cool! She constantly makes jokes and have the class burst in laughter. I would work out at the fitness center after that class. I know I know I know I dont need that class but I need it because it is 3 credits and I need to be a full time student for VR blah. An hour in there then I am zooming to see Chris for lunch. I would come back at 12:30 to make it in time for my Intro to Graphic design class at 1. I also loveee the professor. He have a great eye for art. I just love the way he controls the classroom so smoothly. After that class, I wud be zooming to Slidell see my baby girl Madeline and spend bunch of my time playing with her and giving her my undivided attention. That little girl is the best thing that ever happened to me and Chris. She was the BEST mistake I ever made in my life. I'm just fortunate she is here and made me grow up ya know blah blah blah.
Back to wedding: I am having a lil bit hard time picking out flowers... I cannot decide what I like because there are so many beautiful flowers out there. I am like I want that and that and that! Mom and I are still looking for the wedding reception sites. She wants it to be in Ville Platte SO her friends can attend. *roll eyes* I told her it is MY and Chris's wedding. I told her FAMILY comes first then friends last. I can't wait to get this over with because the relationship between me and mom is taking a turn for the worst. I don't know why but it seems like she wants to control everything that happens in my life such like my major and wedding plans. BLECH! Let's forget about mom. Anyway, I have been looking for places in Baton Rouge. There are plenty of nice places but I have my eyes on
www.highlandporch.com but I don't know yet. I would rather have the wedding and receptions in Baton Rouge because it is in the between of my family in VP and Chris's family in Slidell. Plus I have some family in BR and that is a BONUS because Chris and his groom men can get ready at my crazy Aunt Linda's house and me and my girls can get ready at my cousin Kristy's house. I am thinking of getting married at a Church because my wedding dress is like soo formal for a backyard wedding or a outside wedding... Of course we gonna have a real elegant reception and we shall party all night long hehehehe! I already got guest book, ringbearer's pillow, and feather pen. They matches with the wedding dress. I am going to design the invitations. Right now we are in the process of who to invite to the wedding and try to keep it under 300. Chris and I better decide on where we wanna the reception to be and we will take care of the Church later this year possibly around Oct. AHHH! I just can't wait for everything to come together! I have a good feeling it gonna be a wedding that everyone will remember!
This past weekend, on Friday we went to a parade in Chalmette (closeby to New Orleans) to see Kim ride in the parade and catch beads and stuff for Madeline. On Sat, we went to Ville Platte for Mardi Gras. We rode horses in Grand Prairie Mardi Gras Run/Parade. I admit it I was very very drunk. I saw alot of my high school classmates and people I grew up with and blah blah. Chris rode with me. He loves it and wants to go back next year. This kind of Mardi Gras is very different from New Orleans' tradition Mardi Gras. In VP, 400 to 500 of us would get on horses in our masks and costumes. We would go around to people's house dancing for the chicken, chasing the chicken, dancing on the saddles, some people would offer rice and other food for bigggg gigantic cajun gumbo for the awarding ceremony the night night. Of course, alcohol is involved!! People who dont have a horse and wanna be in it-they wud get someone to pull a wagon and they all drink and ride on it. Mostly young people would get on the wagon and party on. Some ppl wud pull a wagon with a bbq pit serving food. Some wagon contains shitload of beers and beers and beers!
locomaza,
oomeggoo , and
crazycajunchick , witnessed the drunk side of me and the different kind of Mardi Gras. They enjoyed it! They said they would like to ride with me and Chris next year. Then on Fat Tuesday, Chris and Dad rode the same thing in Mamou but it was for men only. It was small crowd due to the high chances of rain. I saw alot of my cousins and introducing Chris and Madeline to them. They couldnt get over Madeline's hair. hahaha. We danced and danced til the cops told us to go
home. We came
home yesterday and we were very glad to be
home. When we drove up the driveway, Chris and I said, "Sweet
home sweet!" at the same time. We just looked at each other and laughed. We think soo much alike!
I told Chris I would like to experience fat tuesday on bourbon st because I havent experienced it yet. Everytime we try to go to bourbon st something always happens. I moved to NOLA in May 2002... got in an accident for MG 2003... was pregnant for MG 2004... Chris wanted to see how Mamou was like in MG 2005... Chris said ok ok ok next year we gonna go ride in Grand Prairie with Ben, Meggo, and Leah. Monday we will zooom back to Slidell to catch all the parades in New Orleans and go partying on bourbon st on MG day. SOUND GOOD TO ME!!!!!!!!!! :-D :-D
OFF TO LUNCH I GO!!!
TOODLES!
