Wow. So much has happened lately that I don't know where to begin. All I can think about it how fucking cold I am....I have the heat down because the energy bill was terrible this month and I am here alone, so I feel as though I should tough it out for me, and Jewels.
Well, I've been to Seattle and back, and all I can say is that fun was had and it turned out differently than I expected. I guess that I imagine myself in these amazing circumstances and then I'm a bit let down when things don't turn out as they did in the dream. I'm not saying that this scenario is true for the entire trip, because the trip in itself was amazing and I saw everyone that I wanted to see and I had fun almost every moment...but some things were different. Not necessarily different meaning bad, but some things were weird. And I think that I just continue to learn about myself and other people when situations turn out, differently.
So, the vacation was great and I had a blast, overall. Much drinking was done, a snowball fight, a Spanish class with Des, tons of food, and plently of long, much needed talks with best friends. I can't even recap on the entire week because there is so much to write about. I can say that my hope was renewed in boys when I met a very sweet, cute boy, whom is in love with another gal, but he deserves to be admired from afar. He is great.
I got pictures back already, and there are some that should be sent asap because of the circumstances in which they were taken...hahahaha. I love pictures. They definitely capture some important, and incredibly fun times :) I will send out the doubles as soon as possible, ladies.
Other than Seattle, I have been pretty damn busy. It's crazy how I have learned to deal with stress and chaos though, and I am quite proud of myself. Well, I got home on Friday and had a much needed talk with an extremely important person in my life. I will not give up on him and he will eventually change his ways, hopefully. I did not begin Saturday with the happiest of moments...I attended Joe Kohlmann's father's funeral. It was a very nice service, and Joe seemed to be handling things well. God, I love that kid. It's crazy how much we have been through, and when I look at him and he looks at me, we have this silent understanding. He knows that I would be there for him in a second if I could, which is important to us both. He and his family are in my prayers.
I went to the funeral with some friends from high school. Michelle, Thera and I got coffee after the mass, and it was really nice to sit and chat for a couple of hours, about everything and nothing. We have all grown up so much in the past two years... It was definitley a good two hours spent though :)
I spent the rest of the weekend with my father. I really miss him and wanted to get some quality time in. We watched two movies, ate some McDonald's and kicked my mom's and sister's asses in Hearts. It was a really nice close to a weekend.
Now I am back in La Crosse, working full time at Chileda. I had a great first night back and am excited for these next two last months....
