Laziness and Bibliophilia

I'm having to work my rear end off this afternoon, because I've basically done nothing here since my boss has been gone. She did tell me to take it easy since I was sick, but I'm no longer really sick (just sniffly) and I'm not sure that doing absolutely nothing but playing solitaire on the computer is quite what she meant. She comes back tomorrow. So, I've been rushing around putting up journals, printing things, and making copies... All stuff that I should have been doing the last 2.5 days I was at work, but didn't.

I just finished my book at lunchtime. I read Jen Lancaster's Bitter is the New Black: Confessions of a Condescending, Egomaniacal, Self-Centered Smartass, or, Why You Should Never Carry a Prada Bag to the Unemployment Office. It's a semi-true memoir thing, and it's really, really good. It's kind of chick lit, so if any of you ladies would like to borrow it, I'd love to loan. She has a blog at www.jennsylvania.com. You should check it out and laugh. It may not actually be funny if you haven't read the book, though.

And now I need a new book. I just ordered four books from Amazon (I got the 4-for-3 deal AND free shipping!), but the delivery estimate is May 27-31. Granted that's only 5-9 days from now, but it's summer! I'm not currently enrolled in a class! I NEED to READ! For fun! Not chemistry or tox! And I'm SICK of Books-A-Million's not having everything that I'm dying to read right on hand. And the cheap book fair is still two weekends away. I guess I'll go to BAMM, anyway, between work and tutoring. Anybody want to catch dinner between 4:30 and 6:30?

Yes, I know of the undeniable geekiness of this post. Sue me.
