Easter ramblings.

I really should go back upstairs and get ready for school...

I just emailed the order of worship for Sunday's sunrise service to the church. I usually leave it for the secretary on Wednesday night, but we didn't rehearse, so... Yeah.

What we're playing:
I Could Sing of Your Love Forever, You're Worthy of My Praise, Blessed Be Your Name, Awesome God, When I Survey the Wondrous Cross, Every Move I Make, I Walk By Faith
And the youth are leading the service! Macy and Katie are doing a silly skit, and Jessica's doing a devotion. I still have to ask Evan to pray. I keep forgetting to call him!
And there's breakfast afterwards!

I was going for easy-to-sing stuff, since we'll be outside and everything. I think that's distracting enough as it is, without having to concentrate on words to songs you don't know. I just want it to be a good time, albeit early. And since the band isn't rehearsing this week (shhhhh, don't tell anyone!), I was hoping for stuff that we've played enough times to have some muscle memory going on. I'm not sure that, for a 6:30am service, rehearsal would have helped anyway.

My cantata is tomorrow night, and I'm really excited. I think it sounds pretty good. There are parts of it that actually give me chill bumps. I just hope that some people actually show up.

Easter is my favorite holiday. Have I told anyone that? Well, it is. Since I started working at the church, it's a little stressful, but it's not nearly so stressful as Christmas. Easter's still my favorite holiday! I really, really need to finish Brad's Easter basket. I got paid yesterday, so I should be able to swing that. ;)

Okay, kiddos! Have a fabulous day! It's my last day of school and work before Spring Break! Wahoo! And the a 4-day weekend before going back to work (at Conway, anyway)!
