Britain has a National Bird (and its not Katie Price!)

The Robin has been voted as Britain's favourite bird. Its quite an apt choice for a country that likes to look cute with all its historic imagery but is actually quite noisy and belligerent to the point of aggressively defending its borders from not only other robins, but anything else too :)

Personally I'd have preferred the Barn Owl or the Blackbird: the owl for its apparent sense of calm and wisdom or the blackbird for its humble beauty and amazing song.

Robin it is then lol.
