blind for a week
i really wish i could be blind for a week, just to better appreciate color and sight. the closest i've been to being blind is at the beginning of the Matterhorn ride in Disneyland, where you cant even see the hand in front of your face. can you imagine what that would be like if thats all you saw every day? i honestly have to hand it to all the people in the world who dont have the ability to see. they cant see people or their emotions and characteristics. they cant admire sunsets or natural phenomena. they must rely almost entirely on others. they cant run through the woods. and since i am so fond of art, i think it would be particularly frustrating if you couldnt draw or paint a picture of something. and even if you managed it, you wouldnt be able to admire your work. and here i am worrying about idiotic, trivial things. thats why i think i need a week where i'm blind....just to put things in perspective. literally (?)
