Today, I realised, between the game I want to run, and the games I am supposed to be playing in, I am in 5 games, add on my darling wifes LARP, and that makes 6 between us, then add in WoW and that makes seven. This is an insane amount of gaming, on a very limited schedule.
Now, don't think that is all I am doing, I am a full-time parent as well who volunteer's in his son's class at least once a week, and has to maintain a home for his family (which I often fail at due to a true lack of house keeping skills or anything). I also work 3 nights a week, and at least one weekend day. So, how does one handle this? The answer, I am afraid is I get to cull my gaming habit a bit. I need to figure out when the games are being run, that I am "playing" in, and figure out which ones I can attend, just do to scheduling. I also don't want to punish people due to my own scheduling habits. I really want to run a game, almost more then I want to play in one right now, so for me I think that is my first priority. Now, I am not going to try and define any one else priorties but that is mine.
Now, that doesn't mean I don't want to play in all these game, just that I don't see a way I can do so. So, I get to do the hard thing and put together my priority list, figure out what is most important to me in my limited free time and pick and choose.
Oh, and hey I just remembered I have this LJ, so hopefully I can drag myself back here from time to time to post on it.
