Daniil's farewell

Aug 14, 2002 23:10

Last night we held a party for Daniil because he was heading back to Mother Russia during the afternoon of today. The party was excellent and had everything that a good party consists of(use your own discretion). We had a really great time and then we slept late, around 5 or 6. In the morning after waking up we wished him off. He bought us a cake that read "Leaving, but not forever" and we ate most of it, the remains are still in my fridge for my personal midnight snacking. It was very sad to see him go and it I was slightly depressed and thus it made me think of a poem.

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
-Robert Frost

Don't cry Ponyboy, Don't cry.
-S.E. Hinton

Goodbye Daniil, you shall be missed.
