(no subject)
Today's fad on facebook was post your bra colour to support breast cancer. I went and changed my bra from a white one to a cool coloured one before I posted.
Why? I didn't want to post plain old white especially when it is the only white one that I own. I also didn't want to lie.
Does this seem vain and silly? Yes it does, but I think I figured out why I cared so much. Having two darling daughters (the youngest will be 6 months tomorrow), and being home with them all day for the next couple of months my wardrobe has shriveled to mostly jeans and tees. Before the kids I was fairly fashionable, and I miss it. However I don't want to see my pricier clothing get ruined by repeated spit ups. No matter how many burp cloths I have most often they still get my clothes before anything else.
While on the outside my clothes are simple I like wearing nice and pretty underwear as a reminder that I'm not always going to be wearing jeans and tees. Wearing them instead of plain white cottons makes me feel better about myself. Someday I will go back to the more fashionable stuff I was wearing before until then the underwear will do. I think however that I will pass on my cleavage bearing bar shirts.
BTW I wrote a better post, but I accidentally erased it this is the sad and quickly written replacement.
