the discussion elysha and i had ranged from the fact that instead of the government being a democracy, more communist rights are held in the hands of the politicians that serve our country. Some might think that our heads are full of anti-everything bull, but those that think this can...if they choose. Elysha was taken to the deans office for not standing for the pledge, first off, it goes deeper then just rebelling against the structure our school system portrays. It based on beliefs, not just because bands tell us to, but because of how we were raised and what we have been brought up upon. If America is so free, why aren't we given a choice to stand for the pledge or not?
we were born to this country with the 3 rights of life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness. And of course i know i have my rights, but here it goes : Life: we were born in a country that immediatly gave us the right to be who we are. Liberty:how do we possess liberty when(just as an example) a mexican who illegally came into this country is conditioned to believe they are recieving a great life, when their boss is bullshitting them with less than minumum wage, and its not all like this, but in most cases, sadly, it is. If everyone born to this country possessed liberty, wouldn't it be our "American" right to not stand? Persuit of Happiness: the system is redirecting our pride to a piece of cloth, when in fact, I choose to respect the people that died for my rights...unjust as it may be.doesn't doe Bloodshed doesn't equal a piece of cloth and it never will
When most people stand and say the pledge, they do it out of conditioning. they're just doing it to avoid controversy because its something our "democracy of a government" has plastered in our mind. How can we live in a democracy if we're unjustly punished for our beliefs. I'm not against our country, just the things that our government conditiond into our mind from the time we were infants. I" pledge allegiance to the flag"----to the flag? why not to the men who unjustly died and fought for the founding of this government? "Of the united states of america"---yes...the united states of america...not a piece of fabric. "and to the republic for which i stand"---i don't stand for this republic and its my choice not to. "one nation under god" ONE? theres more than one out there, and the system makes us think we're the best...well then, why is our country, and others, divided into classes? GOD...maybe one of the most controversial aspects of the world in this modern day. what is god? what...are we the only nation blessed by it? "indivisible"---civil war anyone? "with liberty and justice for all"---justice? how come people of other races have to work harder to get into government positions? the great taboo. and how come if i check off the hispanic box, or elysha checks off any one of her several backrounds on an application to college/university of some sort, theres a better chance for us getting in? It's the systems way of solving racism. wrong way of trying.
and why do people try to preach anarchy? if chaos was our lives, then we'd all kill each other off slowly and painfully. theres no way it could ever happen. Some are against war, yet love "anarchy" anarchy IS destruction which leads to war.
I am divided...
over and out with a body full of lies and a fist full of misunderstood hate.
