Su-100 Hypersonic Strategic Bomber
First developed in the 1960s and flown in 1974, the project was initially suspended due to development of the Tu-22. Its purpose was destroy aircraft carrier groups with tactical missiles. It was filled with the most advanced advanced fly-by-wire technology of the time, which I won't get into here because it would take me hours on end to describe it even with very little detail. Its airframe and technology (over 600 inventions were patented by its designers in the course of the project) served for today's Su-37 "Flanker". Now however, the project is being revived pictures of which are not available. But, here is what the "old" Su-100 looked like:
