WHOA! I have to say, that sounds a little harsh... but I do agree with the cover of that CD and that its really disrespectful for all the veterans of this country, whether you think the war they fought in was just or not. And here's my comment on the draft proposal you brought up.... first of all there are many people who happen to pacifists and it doesnt necessarily make them "pussies" or "cowards" or "traitors". To say that is absurd. People are entitled to their opinions, and some people may oppose a war because they believe it is unjust. THIS IS NOT PUSSYING OUT OF SOMETHING. IF you dont want to fight for something that you genuinely and sincerely dont think is just, you shouldnt have to. For example, I would totally oppose going into Iraq in the event that there was a draft. I don't think this war is just. I found what you said slightly annoying, in the fact that I am that person who would say I want to go to Canada, but I don't think in the course of my life, I would fight. Don't think I'm some pussy when I say this, but I don't think I could just go take a gun and shoot someone, who I don't even know, someone who has a family that cares about them, someone in general. I believe human life is too valuable. Certain cases, I would say otherwise, but in most cases from what I've seen, no I would not. And finally, yes this is very long and I got carried away, but anywho, I dont particularily care for when people repsond to people saying they hate the US and want to leave by throwing out a suggestion of "Oh why dont we send you to North Korea, or Ethiopia or Iran and see how you like it." We'll heres what I have to say to that, there are plenty of other countries in the world, sure many of them dont have nearly the same benefits as the US, but there are many nations similar to the US, and you dont have to be some well traveled intellectual to figure that out. And yes, I am guilty of saying stuff liek "I want to leave bla bla bla..." but, I also realize how much I really do have here in the US as an American citizen and how lucky I am to be here. So anyway, my original point was that I agree with you on the flag image CD cover - it is definetly disrespectful and esentially soils the name of brave veterans and men and women that have died for this county.

Yes I agree with you on many points. But it is a citizen's duty to participate actively in a conflict in which one defends his country and its interests.
The modern world abhors the notions of "militarism" and "imperialism" on the grounds of "sanctity of human life", "pacifism" etc. I believe that the aforementioned are not very pleasant ways of settling things, but what I see today is WEAKNESS. Weakness of family, community and National weakness. The present order seems so exhausted--just look at the European nations of today. Western culture is commiting suicide--a good point to consider. No longer do I see true American pride permeating the hearts of people. The American nation is one with a glorious past! Revolutionaries who spread their ideas and exhibit national pride and force. Today, the former order's claws have been cut and castrated! It is tiger without its natural verility and strength. The US in no longer becoming the US so I stand by what I said in my entry. We must understad that elements from without are threatening this nation both directly and indirectly and we are letting it happen! Even Europe is being threatened now for it is so weak that it must unite. Just consider the fact that there is talk within the Middle East of creating an Islamic nation within the borders of France because the state there is unwilling to resist at all! I am just glad that Russia and the Eastern European nations are experience their cultural Renaisance and are willing to fight to preserve their way of life.
