Mmmmm.... Radiohead

For anyone that hasn't seen this, here's further proof of Radiohead's god-like status (as if they needed any). Performing at this year's Grammy ceremony, Thom Yorke, Johnny Greenwood and the USC Trojan Marching Band play 15 Step from their latest album, In Rainbows:

Wow, what an awesome version of this song! Yorke is a God. I'm ever mesmerised by his voice and presence. May I ask if you have a favourite Radiohead album?

No, you may not ask! :-P

I've always considered OK Computer my favourite album... pretty much every song on that album has been my favourite Radiohead track at some point. Although, perhaps simply due to immense overplaying, I find myself listening to In Rainbows most these days.

Perhaps I should also not reply! But you tantalise me with music talk, that I cannot resist further discussion. :p

'OK Computer' is my favourite too. It's just fantastic. It's on of those albums where every song is really great. Strong from 'Airbag' to 'Exit Music'. I also really do like 'Kid A', which is not a popular favourite. It's ethereal, mellow and ruminative. I also find myself playing 'Rainbows' lately. But I often go back to my beloved 'OK Computer', esp on night drives in the car, or on quiet nights at home.

There's nothing quite like listening to Subterranean Homesick Alien late at night. That first chord just sends me into another place.

I went to school with a horde of Kid A fans, so I have a kind of reactionary viewpoint to that album, but its still amazing.

Oh yeah! I know what you mean. Aptly it's very ethereal or other-worldly

I'm also hugely fond of 'Exit Music' late at night. I remember seeing 'Romeo + Juliet', and that is the closing song at the film credits. Thom's voice just sounds so amazing. It's a brilliant song. In fact, that film got me into Radiohead!

Do you happen to have a last.fm page? I'm interested in your music tastes. Mine is http://www.last.fm/user/miss_kittylix

I haven't really scrobbled much in a while, so my charts are bizarre except for the overall charts.

Also, my last.fm isn't really furry-friendly, so i'd appreciate it if you didn't add me... no offense intended, its the same for everyone. :)

Despite my user name and things, I'm not furry. The nearest I come is my obsession with Hello Kitty and I like the musical Cats.

I thought you knew this? I just have a few furry friends: Ral, Fleet and Adam. But sure, I won't add you.

Looking at your page, we have loads of similar tastes. I really love the Decemberists. I'm super sad I've not got tickets to the BDO. I'm still trying to get hold of one.
