Indie fanboys everywhere, eat your heart out. Produced by Aaron and Bryce Dessner of The National, comes a 2-disc compilation album of the hottest names in independent music, all in support of the Red Hot Organization - an international charity dedicated to raising funds and awareness for HIV and AIDS.
Officially released 17th of February (and yes, of course it has leaked), it features Sufjan Stevens (a ten-minute track which will be eagerly lapped up by everyone desperately awaiting a proper follow-up to Illinois), Feist dueting with Ben Gibbard (read that sentence again, I challenge you not to get shivers), David Byrne & The Dirty Projectors, Iron & Wine, Bon Iver, Spoon, Arcade Fire, The National, The Books, My Morning Jacket, and many more equally impressive bands.
It also handily doubles as a (almost) pocket-sized answer to someone who wants to listen to "good music".
In short, it's amazing.
