Cleaning Day - Kim Possible fic
Spoiler alert: mention of events in the episode "Stop Team Go"
Cleaning day. Not a fun chore for Shego, but an important one. She had to put up with crazy plans from Drakken, she didn’t want to work and live in a pigsty. Dust and vacuum. Under the bed and under the dresser.
Then she saw it. A small piece of a burnt photograph. It was a picture of Shego and Kim. A tiny shard. The only physical evidence of what had happened. That was all Electronique and that havoc reeking Attitudinator.
In jail, Electronic hadn’t kept up to date. Shego wasn’t still with her idiot brothers and their ridiculous hero group. True Drakken was stupid, too, but working for him gave Shego opportunities for evil fun. And fighting Kim was fun, lots of fun.
Being made good by the Attitudinator was so strange. So smiley. So girly. And. And yeah, a lot of fun. It gave Shego the opportunity to hug and be near Kim without fighting. Not that she didn’t like the fighting; it was hot. Going out for drinks, and shopping, and gossiping, and doing all the girly things was so nice and relaxing and Shego could imagine that they were a couple.
The longer Shego stared at the fragment of the picture the more her anger festered. Clenching her jaw, Shego burst her hand in green glow. The little remnant of the picture burned. Only a scattering of ash survived. She swept it up and that was it. No more painful reminder of what had been between Shego and Kim. Only Shego’s heart could betray her and that she could lock up tight, be sarcastic, and only let it beat when she was in Kim’s arms as they were passionately fighting.
