OMG... a post!
Yeah, I don't post much here anymore, but somehow this didn't seem like Facebook material since most of my FB friends would have no clue who this band is.

The new album: Compass
Wow. Is it impossible for Tom to write a bad song? He just never fails to amaze. Just when you think... "He can't possibly top the last album", he goes and blows it out of the water. So many new and unexpected styles and sounds on this album. I think one of the surprise hits was on the spark single, Helicopter Girl. Then on the Compass album theres a track with... gulp... guitar! and one with female vocals! WTF? Don't get me wrong, I love it. I think this is the most creative work he's ever done.
I think Assemblage 23 is one of the only bands left that's writing good music these days. I haven't heard anything else even slightly compelling. I don't know. Have I missed something?
