Eat Spit.

First off, I forgot to mention that I also hit up the Eagles Of Death Metal show this summer. I went to see Rival Schools, but got there right as they finished up, because I'm an idiot and forgot that South Street is South, and I walked five blocks in the opposite direction. Fuck that. Rival Schools might be releasing something new next year, though. We'll see. EODM was totally cool, though. Their singer acts and speaks a lot like Joe Dirt, and that commands tons of respect. And charisma. The crowd was way into it, and I can't blame them. The set totally rocked, and I didn't miss the train back, so I felt good. This was some five months ago, so forgive me for the lack of details.

Tonight, I saw Brand New and Glassjaw in Philadelphia. I bought tickets earlier this week, and couldn't get rid of the other one. I sold it for 1/4 of its value to some guy who turned around and tried to scalp the shit out of it right after the sale. Fucking shit. Show was solid, though.

CRIME IN STEREO-Not bad, but not doing anything new. They had a decent set that put the energy out there. They were modest in their approach, and I can appreciate that, but they were a lounge act compared to what followed.

GLASSJAW-It's awesome to finally see this band amidst all the cancellations and breaking up they went through in the past. They played new stuff, B-side stuff, almost everything off Worship & Tribute, and Siberian Kiss from their old Roadrunner album. Their set up was strange. The band was arranged in a very close square onstage, and only their singer broke away from the formation on occasion. They had fun, cracked ridiculous jokes, and their singer drank a reasonable amount of beer. I was expecting a little more energy from these guys, but it's great just to have them back. I hope they finally release that stuff they've been holding back for awhile within the next year, and continue to destroy stages worldwide.

BRAND NEW-I'm grossly unfamiliar with this band when compared against most of the showgoers. It kind of makes me feel bad, since I was pulled up to the front barrier by a leaving concertgoer. BN completed the Long Island centered rotisserie of groups playing tonight. Their set was more laid back, but still had several screaming ballads amongst them. They bought great imagery along with them, and the set was played very well. I'm still undecided as to how the band makes me feel, and if I actually want to buy an album from them, but they did a good job. I can't complain.

I left the show when they finished, and saw emo dreads on the way out. What the fuck is this world coming to? Also, I paid a $4 penalty for going the wrong way on 676 and spending over a half hour trying to figure out how to get the fuck out of New Jersey. What is it with Jersey and its goddamn subdivided highways? I hope somebody who lives in Jersey and thinks highly of their home state reads that and flips out at me.

I also almost got sideswiped by a truck in a construction area. I also played cat and mouse with a one-eyed box truck. Then I called Josh when I got home and discussed bringing him to Russian Circles, and bringing along one of the girls he hooked up with while in college so that she could get total headfuck.

I have school today, and it's 5:30 A.M. and I didn't go to sleep yet. I still have work to do.

Fuck you.
