well, it's a friday night and i am drinking camomille tea, waiting for my lover to come back so that we can make a mad lemon meringue pie - totally vegan style.
when i was at work today, i talked to some dude whose ancestors were german, and he was over there lots of times, ever since he was born in 1960. he sounded a little bitter just about everything, especially mr. george w. bush. now, i don't know how much that has to do with the fact that this dude was german and in a total financial dilemma, but we ended up talking - or rather, he ended up talking to me - for 49min and 13sec. and that has been the longest time i have ever talked to somebody on the phone in my entire employee record in the history of the psu telefund. he wasn't really one of those dudes that are totally lonely and just wanna have a talk, but rather the kind that gets totally hyped up into something and just has to blast it right through the phone or else what. to all of those, that are majoring in electrical engineering, you will be screwed if you do not get a job within 2 years of your graduation. serious, this dude - rainer, by the way - told me about surviving 3 lay-off rounds at boeing, but not surviving the forth one. and he knew that you just have to get a job right away or else you can throw away your degree. and even though he wasn't born in germany and even his parents live overhere, he still considered germany his home. i thought that was strange.
oh germany, one day i will see you again and love and heart you with all that i have. you will always be my true home.
on a lighter note, i thought that mr. joel summer had an absolute fantastic going-away party a couple of days ago. entertainment was taken care of by mr. hiv wolves, browsing through some major improvisational tunes including the new, gloriously acquired equipment aka effects pedals of all sorts, and also the piano. afterwards the elder brothers took over via dungeon brothers couch-hopping style... it was dope, lemme tell you that. and so was the dance party in the basement much later, where mad record spinning skills helped to spread the party vibes. i, of course, had to bust out my mad dancing skills.
well, what can i say?
a) this is the dude i can watch a 3.5h long german u-boat movie with, the dude that i love
b) and this is the dude that i will miss
and i'm out. love & peace.
