Day off, and I'm bored out of my skull, so Post of Randomness!
Yeah, what it says in the subject line. I'm sitting here watching my nephews, and I just watched an episode of "Gilmore Girls" and "Full House". I don't have anything to do. I'm not used to that. All alone in the house with two sleeping kids.
In other news, I got a new iPod nano last night! 16 GB so it fits my whole iTunes library. Hooray. It's pink, just like my iPod shuffle. I almost got purple but I changed my mind at the last second. My two left middle fingers are still half numb, and it's maddening. I think I pinched my radial nerve sleeping on my neck wrong. I just hope I didn't do any permanent damage. It's annoying as hell.
Time to complain about Heroes some more. I figured out the major problem I'm going to have if I do decide to watch.

He's going to be off having a grand old time and he doesn't know about Nathan. That's my problem.
I'm still on the fence. I gave my Season Three DVDs to my brother Pat so he could watch them. I didn't even watch any of the deleted scenes like I wanted to. Blecch. Writer's block is back, btw. More like I don't feel like writing anything. I have a lot of good ideas and prompts, but when I sit down in front of the blank Word document I'm just like, eh.
My grandmother's brother (my great-uncle) died on September 11th, and we went to Calverton National Cemetery in Long Island to bury him yesterday. He was a World War II veteran. So, there was an honor guard from the U.S. Navy there to present my grandmother with an American flag, and my brother laughed because of the very sharp movements of the one soldier after he got up from presenting her with the flag. I couldn't believe it! Of course, then Katrina laughed, I laughed, and my mother laughed. It was awful. I felt really bad. You know that song "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies, where he says "I'm the kind of guy that laughs at a funeral"? Yeah, I never thought that ever really happened.
I'm not getting my promotion either. They transferred all the managers that were there when I started, and the new store manager gave me some bullshit about they can't afford my pay increase, so it's time to look for another job. Assholes.
