Hurricane update
This may be my last entry for a while. I'm in Houston - expecting to lose power and phone service sometime this evening. I'm just hoping that the power isn't out for too long.
I've pretty much completed all of the necessary preparations. Bath tubs filled with water, Cell phones recharged, flashlights and candles, bottled water and canned goods in a box in the bathroom (safest place in the apartment).
Now, just waiting . . . and watching TV while we came. The pictures of New Orleans and the water topping the levees is disturbing. I'm actually more concerned about this hurricane's effect on New Orleans than I am with our plight here in Houston.
Sigh.
