Feelings cast aside
The ones I couldn’t deny
Lost in my words or was it just the wind
Blowing away memories past
The last thing I remember
Was the burning in my eyes
And the salt stained spots on my shirt
A severed connection broken complete
Ripped apart by lies
The words were so few and the tears so many
This growing experience
Has changed my life and my view
My whole direction has now changed
No running to a far
No fading away
Just the first building block for memories new
A clean slate cracked but not broken
Now a new age to feel and live
Loving moments shared
Learning from the past
Living the life we’ve made
Maybe not forever or even again
Nut now we have out friendship
An everlasting bond made not to break
It’s a scary thought to imagine such a crystal clear future
I do not know if it will ever come to be
But what I see
To me
Is worth the wait
