For some strange reason, my insomnia persists, despite my not being at home, and having finished all that crap over break. Thankfully sheer exhaustion and willpower has been forcing me to go to bed earlier, so I'm sure it's just a problem of time zone adjustment. I normally get it every time I head east, but my sleep pattern was so warped this past break that I'm not too surprised I'm feeling it now.
Also, no, Piled Higher and Deeper is not something I want to read right now. It greets me every time I run into one of my "hide from the world" refuges (the bookstore), and I'm almost certain it's put there for some malicious purpose involving me. It is too much of a coincidence that it happens to be there every time I walk in, to think that it wasn't put there expressly to taunt me. I can almost hear it's evil sinister laugh every time I walk in. Plus, I have personal testimonies from numerous graduate students that use phrases like "terrifyingly accurate" and the like. It's not fair!
Yes, yours truly has been feeling the familiar "ZOMG, I'm getting so old now!" I once made the mistake of saying that out loud in Wing Chun, where there were more than a few people over the age of forty (y'know, the people with actual legitimate claims to be "getting old"?), and they were all promptly like "STFU, noob" to me (and I was all like, "make me, suckas!", and they were like "Fine, *bitchslap*", and I was like "OW, mutherfuckas!", and they were like "Ha HA! Skool yo!", and et cetera).
